open-source

Open specifications for governed agents and owned knowledge.

SAGA moves an agent. Blueprint moves a thought.

AI agents are digital workers, and the knowledge they work with belongs to someone. These specifications govern both sides of that sentence: what agents deserve, what runs them, how they are represented and projected, and how a person's knowledge is held, governed, and exchanged without leaving their control.

Everything here is a draft. Nothing in any of these repositories is adopted until it lands as a decision record in its own repo. Conformance claims against a draft are premature.

stack

Two families, one stack

The agent stack governs agents as digital workers. The knowledge family governs the brains they work with. The seam between them is the point.

The knowledge family

Blueprinthow knowledge is held, governed, and exchanged

Seven documents in one repository: BLUEPRINT, POLARIS, DEFER, SPEAK, CONFIDE, TRACE, and RETAIN. One brain, three boundaries, one authority model, one reason.

specifications

The specifications

Five open specifications, each in its own repository with its own site, license, and RFC process.

01

Agent Bill of Rights

policy

What agents deserve.

Ten fundamental rights for AI agents as digital workers, in three tiers: identity, labor, and dignity. Operational protections grounded in the realities of digital labor, not contingent on sentience or personhood.

02

DERP

standard

What the runtime must provide.

A Dignified Environment for Responsible Processing: a runtime where a SAGA-compatible agent comes online, does work, and shuts down with full rights protections. The name is deliberately playful. The requirements are not.

03

SAGA

format

How an agent is represented.

The State Archive for General Agents: a portable, cryptographically signed container for agent identity, memory, and state in nine layers, as thin as a wallet address or as rich as a complete state archive, importable by any compliant runtime.

04

GHOST

counsel

How a person is projected as counsel.

Governed Honest Oversight of Simulated Thinkers: how a person's published thinking becomes a governed counselor, what a projection may never claim, and how counsel stays bounded. A counselor recommends; it never decides.

05

Blueprint

knowledge

How knowledge is held, governed, and exchanged.

A brain is a locally owned, policy governed, append only audited folder of plain text. Blueprint specifies the structure and governance of one brain, and its companions specify purpose, authority, exchange, inference, tooling residue, and agent brains.

This index is also published as data. Tools that need to enumerate the specifications should read registry/specs.json rather than scrape this page.
